I discovered my passion for music aged 5 listening to my grandmother playing the piano. From that point on, I have always been involved in playing the piano, or the organ at church, accompanying choirs, singing and performing as a recitalist. I just love it!
I followed my dream to have a full time job playing the organ, but not down the traditional route. I have always had to earn a living whilst performing as a soloist- now I can do both.
I find inspiration all around me. I try to make my music representative of myself and my generation but also love sharing my passion with others.
James MacDowall-Scott plays five chorale preludes by J.S.Bach;
Wachet Auf ruft uns die stimme
Heut triumpheret Gottes Sohn
Jesus Christus unser Heiland
Christ Lag in todesbanden and
O Mensch bewein dein zude Gross
